Helping decrease pain and restore functional mobility for anything from acute to chronic conditions and post-surgical rehab. Outpatient Clinical Care: Duties/Responsibilities include - interpersonal communication with patients- assisting with therapeutic exercises- performing modalities such as utlrasound, electrical stimulation, hivamat, heat/cold, iontophoresis- front desk duties such as scheduling, organizing, cleaning

Nine-week clinical affiliation in an outpatient setting (Spine Center). Majority of the patient population was spine-related or chronic pain.

At this 6 week clinical, the patient population was primarily workers' compensation. A large majority of of the patients had orthopedic injuries acquired on the job and were in the acute/subacute phase of healing upon presenting to the clinic, with the end goal of returning to full duty at work.

I spent 6 weeks at this hospital, working inpatient, and I saw a wide variety of patients - in the ER, ICU, PCU, and Medical/Surgical units. I participated in the weekly trauma rounds, where an interdisciplinary group would meet to discuss the trauma patients and check in on them as a team.

As one of 6 teaching assistants for a class of 100 students, I worked closely with students to dissect and learn human gross anatomy. The course covered material spanning across all major organs, systems, and functions. Responsibilities included:- Dissecting cadaver prior to class periods- Assisting students with dissections- Tutoring students over lab material- Proctoring & grading lab exams

My second 4-week clinical was spent at Boost PT & Sports Performance. A large amount of the patients were athletes, so I had several opportunities to perform high-level rehabilitation. I also had the opportunity to perform subjective and objective examinations with several patients with extremity pathologies. I gained much needed hands-on experience with manual therapy, and I was able to apply the principles of exercise progression on a wide variety of patients.

I spent my first 4-week clinical at The Sweet Life at Brookdale place, which is a skilled nursing facility. Throughout this first clinical experience I had the opportunity to practice goniometry, MMT, transfers, fitting assistive devices, & gait training. A majority of the patients I saw had poor balance and difficulty walking. Although many of the patients had similar goals, the complexity of each patient allowed for variability in treatments, due to compounding factors.

Most recently, I worked on social media PR efforts for Allergan. The brands I was responsible for are BOTOX Cosmetic & LATISSE. Prior to working on these accounts, I gained my interactive marketing experiences working on the TRILIPIX and HUMIRA accounts of Abbott Laboratories. I also spent about 6 months in the Creative Project Management department, so I have a great understanding of most all aspects of the business.
