However, although the design techniques have changed the fundamental task to design safe, cost effective and fit for purpose products or processes remains the same, as does the desire to generate valuable intellectual property which provides a competitive advantage in the market.My own experience has focused on predictive engineering tools, such as finite element analysis and computational fluid dynamics to help to achieve these objectives. In more recent years this has been extended to include the related subjects of reliability engineering and technical safety.I'm passionate about helping clients to make use of these technologies.
