I believe in relationships, friendships, and partnerships. Leading effective teams by fostering these three ingredients is the key to my success and the most rewarding aspect of the work I do. My career spans 25 years of logistics, acquisitions, and engineering experience. I’m a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering and I hold Master of Science degrees in Environmental Engineering and Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology and National Resource Strategy from the National Defense University’s Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy. I served in the U. S. Marine Corps as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer from 1998 to 2019, worked in the private sector upon retirement from the service, and entered the federal work force in 2021.As a Marine I served in leadership positions touching all types of Marine Corps aircraft at each of the three levels of maintenance. At the organizational level I supported Marine Expeditionary Unit aircraft in numerous deployments and operations. At the intermediate level I served at Marine Aviation Logistics Squadrons supporting Marine aircraft in deployed and garrison settings. At the depot level, I was assigned to an industrial aircraft operation deployed in combat to perform battle damage and in-service depot repairs. In the acquisitions work force, I served as the Aviation Logistics Requirements Officer on the staff of the Chief of Naval Operations in the Air Warfare Directorate and with Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) as the Assistant Program Manager for Logistics at the V22 Joint Program Office.Following active service, I joined the private sector as a civil engineering project manager for a global engineering and architecture firm in Raleigh, North Carolina. At Stantec I led multi-disciplined teams of engineers, scientists, and architects in the design of construction projects at military facilities across the southeastern U.S.Currently I’m at the head of the Navy’s F35C Fleet Integration Office. In this capacity I work closely with the F35 Joint Program Office to ensure programmatic sustainment and maintenance capability is employable and effective in the U. S. Navy F-35C fleet. In addition to degrees from VMI, AFIT, and NDU, I’m also a graduate of the Marine Corps Command and Staff College, the Marine Corps Advanced Logistics Operations Course, the Department of Defense’s Joint Course on Logistics, and numerous other aviation, logistics, and acquisition courses.
