Software EngineerIntermountain Healthcare 2008 - 2011Intermountain runs a network of dozens of non-profit hospitals primarily serving Utah. The Financial systems support team maintains the accounting and timekeeping systems for the entire hospital system.● Shaved 4 months off of a projected 6-month delay by encouraging leadership to pursue an accelerated upgrade to Kronos over a rollback with custom development to fix a bug. With this ambitious approach we stayed acceptably close to our original project timeline.● Create custom web-based forms to perform functions within Kronos that had previously been available only to administrative users.● Create interfaces using stored procedures and functions in Oracle in conjunction with the Kronos XML API. These interfaces ensured that the appropriate information was available so that real-time staffing decisions could be made based on patient needs.● Build an interface to sync licensure information in Oracle HR with Kronos Timekeeper. This ensured that appropriate licenses were maintained for scheduled staff to meet legal requirements and industry standards. -
Software EngineerRapid Intake 2006 - 2008Rapid Intake provided e-learning software tools and a custom learning management software solution as well as a regular conference to allow instructional technology professionals to share best practices and learn to use available tools.● Identified a growing problem with managing software keys. I created a database to store keys and connected it to our shopping cart to automatically assign and send keys to customers when they purchased online. I also built an interface to assign software keys for those who purchased physical media.● Enhanced the application to allow for special upgrade pricing to existing customers.● Took a 6 month solo project to integrate our custom LMS system with an external shopping cart and analyzed the process to reduce implementation time to just 2 hours for subsequent clients.● Customize ClickCourse LMS to customer requirements.● Redesign E-learning DevCon website to include session proposal submission and live session list display. -
