Within the Consumer and Markets Group at the Civil Aviation Authority I work as part of a team responsible for the economic regulation of airports and air navigation service providers, including Heathrow and NATS, with a focus on service quality issues. With previous extensive experience of aviation policy and economic regulation issues at British Airways I developed policy strategy and wrote responses to regulatory and industry issues, working with the CAA, the Competition & Markets Authority, and industry bodies. At DfT Passenger Services I worked on performance-based fees policy for train operating companies, as well as developing policy responses and implementing contract changes for wider train operating company issues including Covid-19.I am a proven stakeholder manager with a customer focus and I influence and work collaboratively to achieve my objectives. With a keen interest in aviation, rail and wider transport and public policy issues I have also managed teams, co-ordinating approvals for rail industry advertising campaigns, delivering aircraft fleet planning and implementing new IT systems. My achievements include: - I was senior policy lead on the first scorecard evaluations for train operators on the new National Rail Contracts.- I co-ordinated the DfT engagement and Ministerial sign-off for the National Rail “Let’s get back on track” marketing campaign.- I developed airline policy on the regulation of Heathrow Expansion by the CAA. - I gave evidence at the Competition & Markets Authority hearing on NATS price control appeal, support regulatory decisions made by the CAA. - I led a group of airlines to jointly secure a £100m+ investment for Heathrow Terminal 3. - I managed a team delivering new aircraft configurations including the Boeing 787 and Airbus A350, working with stakeholders to meet procurement deadlines. - I successfully represented the interests of oneworld alliance airlines at airports across Europe. - A degree in Politics from the University of Essex. - Proficient user of Word, PowerPoint and other MS Office tools.
