David M. Johnson, CFA is an accomplished executive with more than 25 years of success in the distressed world. Leveraging extensive experience in corporate development, Mr. Johnson is an asset for start-ups, venture-backed and established companies seeking guidance on crisis management and insolvency. His broad areas of expertise include insolvency, corporate turnaround/workout, sales & acquisitions, valuations, financial modeling and analysis, and other due diligence. Utilizing a variety of legal and financial tools including Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors, foreclosures, receiverships and the US bankruptcy code, Mr. Johnson specializes in maximizing recovery for lenders, creditors and investors. He has overseen the orderly liquidation or the successful refinancing of over 200 companies.Prior to co-founding Resolution, Mr. Johnson spent 17 years with a middle-market advisory firm specializing in insolvency work.Mr. Johnson spent four years with international turnaround management firm Alvarez & Marsal, Inc. in Los Angeles and New York, providing interim management, forensic accounting and valuation services for multiple clients, including a national health care organization.Mr. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Economics from Franklin & Marshall College. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2004 and is a Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor.
