Internship at the South East Neighborhood Service Center (SE NSC).Accepted into position to establish and maintain community partnerships and improve the quality of life of community members of the City of Rochester by: developing and implementing strategic plans; prioritizing objectives and implementing positive changes; proactively promoting the stability, strength and growth of city neighborhoods and businesses; championing Rochester citizens and removing barriers to growth for customers.Community partnership and quality of life accomplishments:• Helped coordinate and implement two City festivals with internal and external stakeholders that drew hundreds of City community members. • Resolved issues and concerns of community members by attending regular resident association and business associations meetings over the course of 3 months, establishing two-way communication between the City and community members, and coordinating responses to issues and concerns with the City.• Conducted community outreach to community members about grants opportunities made available by the City and important development projects requiring public input.• Secured “Good Neighbor Agreements” from City business owners that educate and hold business owners accountable to the high standards of conduct desired by the City to facilitate good relations with other community members.• Ensured City standards of well-regulated community safety and fairness were met by business owners by securing updated specific business licenses that regulate business functions and services from business owners.

Served as a fundraising consultant for the semester at the Genesee Ministry of Concern, which is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit in Albion NY, as my term project for Fundraising and Development.Advised the Genesee Ministry of Concern based on fundraising theories and practices being taught at that time, while using resources available to students, such as grant libraries, and other web sources.
