Though my path from college wasn’t straight/direct, the journey to the present is what has built not only the many skills I utilize today as a consultant, but has helped hone, or even illuminate some of the skills and characteristics that have defined me as a person since a child. I always grow up as a huge puzzle person, a problem solver, and someone never afraid to step up to the challenge (no matter the situation). My inquisitive nature, attention to detail, and overall calm nature have propelled me through much of my growth in the various industries I have worked in: From Restaurants to Product Management, to Implementation (Team Lead). As a biology/psychology major at Howard University, I learned not only the ability to determine the facts, but to analyze, interpret, and implement solutions. I took the solution-based approach to my profession, which allowed me to put myself at the forefront of developing solutions to immediate and long-term issues. In turn, my actions improved employee morale and relations, all aspects of financial accounting, and product/business marketing. My consulting abilities then gave me the opportunity to pitch and implement my idea of transforming a failing dining room into a thriving sports bar. I was also brought on board to help consult on ideas in order to develop a new concept infusion bar that was later brought to fruition before my eyes.My personable nature and charisma, then were on display as I switched careers into the world of Sass Software (and never looked back). I began as a POS systems implementation liaison for Restaurants, Retail, and Entertainment venues, and have since worked my way up the ladder through companies of all sizes and clientele, to become an Implementation Team Lead for an international software company.
