Led the finance department of a vertically integrated commercial real estate operating and development company (primarily, but not limited to, grocery-anchored retail). Oversaw a wide range of activities for real estate investments totaling over $600 million of gross asset value on behalf of its institutional and high net worth investors. Performed any task necessary from negotiating loan terms and documents, developing and improving complex financial and managerial reporting for various internal and external stakeholders, completing large scale project management and accounting, modeling and negotiating tax-credits and subsidies, and developing and implement significant financial de-risking strategies. - Led or assisted in securing over $350 million in debt financing (combination of new, renewal, and secondary financing for construction, stabilized, and semi-stabilized properties)- Led the financial oversight and management of almost $200 million in development and construction projections (including the new $100 million Schnucks distribution center in Kinloch, MO) - Championed and executed a plan to reduce company's exposure to floating rate debt by over $10 million in under two years- Assisted in the sale of over $9 million in complex tax incentive bonds- Coordinated all external financing activities including managing and cultivating lender and broker relationships, sourcing funds and negotiating terms, reviewing and opining on loan documents, negotiating covenant amendments, and managing on-going loan compliance requirements- Operated under very limited supervision and primarily producing work product for the CEO, General Counsel, and Executive Chairman- Developed, improved, and presented complex financial models, budgets, and other highly-critical on-going and one-off reports for senior management and key stakeholders- Lead company Finance Committee and provided strategic guidance and support to all Senior Management in the company
