Founded in 1985, Orthopedic Associates grew organically, without executive leadership, under the entrepreneurial skill & foresight of its founding physicians and excellent staff.Closed unproductive timeshares & owned offices, and opened two new state-of-the-art geographic locations to strategically round out the practice's domain, with the addition of a second MRI facility. Expanded hospital relationships and therapy services, and added two surgery partnerships. Consolidated all back-office operations into a collaborative administration facility, and established in-house marketing. Negotiated physician recruitment and various ancillary partner agreements, and advised the Board President on various strategic matters, including an executive succession effort to bring in qualified, established leadership and financial control.

Through a contract relationship with Edison Lightworks, David served as the Chief Technology Officer of this 3,500 student public school system.Migrated the District from Novell Netware to Microsoft Windows; deployed & implemented PowerSchool SIS; designed and managed the network & server infrastructure for two new high school and middle school campuses. Managed the District's E-Rate program, and participated on the Superintendent's Cabinet.

David managed the network infrastructure of this regional transit authority, which was composed of VAX, Novell Netware, OpenVMS, and Windows platforms. He also maintained a Nortel SL-1 PBX switch.During the time of his employment, David migrated the enterprise from Novell Netware, OpenVMS and DEC All-In-One Messaging to Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Exchange.He also implemented the server & network infrastructure for the GDRTA's first implementations of an SQL-based scheduling system by Trapeze Systems and GPS bus-tracking using Siemens ILG's TransitMaster.

Developed software on the Microsoft Windows platform, for tax accounting, electrical construction (SmartEst®) and cosmetology (SalonRx®) industries. Stillwater Software wrote the Microsoft Windows interface for the Scalex® plan measurement tool, and the orginal salon products management platform "SalonRx", localized & distributed worldwide. Provided various testing services to Microsoft Corporation and MicroHelp, Inc.Stillwater Software was subsequently incorporated in 1996 under the name ClearLogic Corporation.

Reporting to the President, David provided corporate IT systems management and focused project estimating & management functions for this large, regional electrical contractor. David designed and built ChapelNet, an integrated construction information management system built on early versions of Microsoft's client/server platforms. ChapelNet was featured by Electrical Contractor Magazine.Estimating & project management experience included the Panasonic CRT manufacturing facility in Troy, OH; Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH; Genesys Regional Medical Center in Flint, MI; The Dayton Art Institute (1994 historic renovation & addition); and other commercial & industrial projects.

David served as Estimator, Project Manager and Operations Manager of this regional electrical contractor.Project clients included The Dayton Arcade (1987 renovation), The Limited Stores; Ward Steel; Meijer; Lewisburg Container; Parker Hannifin; Ohio Plate Glass; Danis Companies; and other commercial & industrial clients.
