Fidelity Institutional provides investment solutions to registered investment advisors, broker-dealers, banks, pension plans, endowments, foundations, and consultants, offering custody, clearing, flexible trading solutions, and access to a vast pool of securities.In my role, I serve as the Chief Architect, enabling critical business outcomes by designing industry-leading solutions that are highly scalable, extremely reliable, enhance user experiences, and drive new revenue through shared brokerage and wealth management platforms. Specific platforms include capital markets capabilities like order management and routing, as well as core operational platforms, performance management systems, wealth management, and sales and marketing. I lead enterprise, solution, and data architecture practices. I am also responsible for creating an end-to-end technology strategy that aligns and enables our business strategy. This includes understanding the value and overall design of 1,000+ existing applications, while leveraging innovative technologies enabled by the cloud, AI, ML, and LLM.My responsibilities extend beyond architecture to include engineering, delivery, and support for more than 25 common technology platforms. These platforms cover areas such as authorization, messaging, customer alerting, and API enablement. Fidelity Brokerage provided the core capabilities necessary to operate one of the largest and most performant brokerage platforms in the industry. These capabilities included customer management, position and balance tracking, trade and record-keeping, as well as wealth management and capital markets platforms like order routing and management.In my role, I served as the Chief Architect, enabling critical business outcomes by designing industry-leading solutions that were highly scalable, extremely reliable, enhanced user experiences, and drove new revenue through shared brokerage and wealth management platforms. FFIO provided middle and back office accounting and investment operations support services for more than 6,000 retail and institutional mutual funds servicing $4.2 trillion (Q2 2021) of assets under management.

In this role I led a highly skilled team responsible for FPCMS (Fidelity Pricing & Cash Management Services) technology strategy and architecture. This includes technology roadmaps, enterprise architecture, application architecture, and data architecture.FPCMS provided middle and back office accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity mutual funds ($2 trillion in managed assets in 2018) and other retail and institutional investment products. These services included calculating and distributing NAVs, distribution rates and yields for a wide variety of investment products; preparing fund financial statements, dividend estimates and tax returns; monitoring delivery of fund trades to custodian banks; processing corporate actions; collecting securities income on behalf of the funds; reconciling, reporting and moving money in support of fund shareholder transactions; and managing fund liquidity.

I was responsible for Fidelity's corporate technology strategy and architecture (Enterprise Architecture, Application Architecture, Data Architecture, and Infrastructure) including applications that spanned multiple enterprise service lines: Content and Information Life-cycle Mgmt (ILM), Corporate Compliance, Security, Risk, Legal, Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, and Corporate Administration.In addition to my business unit responsibilities, I was a member of Fidelity’s Technology Architecture Group (TAG), a consortium of Fidelity CTOs and business unit chief architects which govern technology across Fidelity.

While at TIBCO, later acquired by Reuters, I primarily engineered and delivered market data and middle ware solutions to many firms on Wall Street.

While at EDS I filled a number of consulting roles, primarily leading solution design, planning, implementation, and integration of technologies that support the manufacturing process at General Motors.
