In this position I directed program management and optimization of customer service delivery for the full spectrum of human resources, provided to reserve students attending formal training. All actions recognized and considered the value of the role of human capital and the critical nature of training and development, and every action supported the sustainment of a positive workplace environment. Nevertheless, in many cases “customer service” resulted in documentation that led to separation from the Air Force as the best course of action. HR services not provided directly by my HR specialist were referred and tracked with follow-up communication to sponsoring units, training squadrons, the onsite clinic or wellness center, the student’s family, civilian employers, other social service agencies, and other offices as necessary to solve a variety of problems associated with active duty training. Management expertise was provided for sponsoring units around the world and to satellite training facilities across the United States. I communicated to understand and investigated as required to provide clear, concise problem definition, organized best solutions pooling various resources, using extensive knowledge, experience, keen judgment, and excellent verbal and writing skills. I communicate comfortably, verbally or in writing, with Congressional staff and Headquarters level directors, as well as with unit commanders and their staff, instructors, civilian employers, and others to resolve all problems of varying degrees. I am well-versed in Microsoft Office Professional Suite 2010 for communication, management, reporting, presentations, and process-improvement tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), to track and eliminate negative trends, develop initiatives, and to report effectiveness of the overall training program. I have consistently been identified as a superior performer.

Provided customer satisfaction by evaluating security needs in the areas of alarm (fire and burglar), closed-circuit television, and access control. To meet the needs, I dispatched resources (service technicians or contractors) to provide a new installation, system service, or system upgrade. I also supervised the ordering of all security devices and related equipment and hardware from various vendors or manufacturers. Key element: Communicate between customers, salesmen, technicians, and contractors to ensure security systems were performing to the customer’s contracted expectation.

Developed and managed three courses of instruction, to include arranging for all training resources through acquisition or scheduling. Also instructed those courses and others provided by the center. Courses of instruction were in the area of security: Physical, personal protection, resource protection, and planning for security operations.

In this military organization with 36 fighter aircraft (A-10s), approximately 1,900 assigned personnel, and 24 buildings (1 alarmed facility, 1 security vault, 20-camera video surveillance system), I managed all security programs (information, personnel, physical, and resource protection). I supervised eleven (11) security managers and directed the operation of the assigned 44-person Security Forces Squadron. I performed local background checks as required for interim security clearance access to classified information and directly advised commanders on minimum requirements. During my "watch," this organization received an "Outstanding, Best Seen-To-Date" rating on its 1992 Operational Readiness Inspection which was conducted by the NINTH Air Force Inspector General.
