Opinions are my own. David Reiner joined the Princeton University Office of State Affairs as Assistant Vice President in 2023. In overseeing the office, David has primary responsibility for developing and implementing strategies for representing the University at the state level, and for maintaining relationships with state government officials, legislators and staff, policy and opinion leaders, advocacy and trade organizations, and others. Before joining Princeton University, David served as Executive Director for State Government Affairs at Quest Diagnostics, driving advocacy and engagement in state capitals across the country. David previously worked in New Jersey state government for eight years in various roles, including serving as Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Cabinet Liaison in the Governor’s Office, where he spearheaded multiple state programs and initiatives focused on combating the opioid epidemic. David currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Princeton-Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trustees of the NJ State Museum Foundation. He is also actively involved at William Paterson University, volunteering as a mentor through the Pesce Family Mentoring Institute and as a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
