- Leading a team of data scientists working with proprietary and sensitive government data to support C-suite clients in data-driven decision-making and ensuring smooth operations in a high-profile space.Primary data science work includes: developing data models and ETLs to ingest and export data; pulling and quality assurance for a major, large-scale, SLA-driven quarterly customer survey; maintain and improve a model to identify customers potentially targeted by scams, using sensitive customer data, including PII. -- Ushering features through every stage of the software development lifecycle, from requirements and funding, to development and test, to implementation in production. -- Additional delivery management cross-team coordination, such as environment builds, deployment checklists with operations, and regression testing efforts. - Provide expertise in digital strategy to lead workstreams for the fast-paced analysis of current state-cross channel customer interactions, and develop a future state channel mix that provides the best use of technology and client resources.- Worked on multiple Agile and Scaled Agile (SAFe) projects, including Agile coaching and an Agile transition. Conducted more than 20 PI Planning events.-- As Scrum Master: manage day-to-day team workflow, such as resolving blockers and coordinating with other SMs. Ensured compliance with documentation requirements in an environment that collects and stores PII, and is subject to frequent privacy and security audits.-- Developed a suite of Agile delivery reports, used by everyone from Scrum Masters to leadership. Included basic metrics such as velocity, but also used advanced techniques such as text analytics to measure Definition of Ready, and a measure of story point estimation accuracy.

- Lead data analytics and strategy teams of up to five other people, including Agile teams. Lead a team through a complex assessment of a large federal agency's constituent support domain as compared to industry best practices, and identify future state opportunities. Lead the same project's first ever technical domain assessment, advising the client on positioning to comply with government regulations and developing an agency-wide data strategy - a project of very high priority and interest to the agency's C-suite.- Develop analytical tools to support data-driven decision making at all levels of organization, from warehouse staff to C-suite. Lead the development of a statistical model based on asset management data to detect anomalies indicating potential training or mismanagement issues. Developed a management analytics dashboard to provide managers with a balance view of their section, bringing operations, budget, workforce, and customer satisfaction data onto the same screen for the first time. Developed a bi-weekly report on Agile governance for use by Scrum Master, Product Owners, and Business Owners, including basic metrics such as velocity, and also including advanced text analytics to monitor user story quality.- Help mentor and teach more junior employees, particularly in data proficiency and best practices.

- Design and program surveys covering a range of topics such as: brand awareness and perception, customer satisfaction and customer profiles, market assessment, conjoint analysis and other pricing surveys- Use quantitative and statistical techniques to analyze survey data, resulting in full-length reports for both general and specialized audiences.- Lead and supervise junior researchers in survey design and analysis.- Contribute to increasing the efficiency of the team through the development of macros in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to automate formatting and creation of data visualizations, and checklists to standardize data quality assurance.- Respond directly to clients’ questions about the survey results via email and phone.- Assist other researchers as needed, including testing surveys and new macros.

-Coordinated with programmers and survey authors/sponsors (e.g. Veterans Administration).-Managed project teams through all steps of the survey process — from preparation and testing, to production and post-processing – for the Current Population Surveys (CPS) and related supplemental surveys, including: Displaced Workers Survey (2010), Voting Survey (2010), Civic Engagement Survey (2010), Veterans Survey (2011), and Volunteers Survey (2011).-Implemented the Contact History Instrument (CHI), a survey of field representatives intended to track their strategies (contact attempts, length of interviews, etc.) and successes in the field to raise response rates and lower costs. -Monitored and reported data from the CHI and presented findings at the 2009 CPS Conference.-Researched topics related to the CHI and the CPS for internal reports and ad hoc. -Reviewed monthly microdata file to ensure consistency and accuracy prior to public release, wrote an Excel macro to largely automate the process.-Answered general and technical questions from data users (researchers, university professors, other agencies) via email and phone.
