I am a partner in the Intellectual Property practice in the Washington, D.C. office of Paul Hastings. I focus primarily on three areas of patent law: Patent Trial and Appeal Board (e.g., IPR) proceedings, patent litigation enforcement and defense, and counseling on patent matters.For the PTAB practice, I have a very successful track record mostly on the petitioner side where we challenge validity of patents in either an IPR or PGR proceedings. Most IPRs that I have pursued involved patents in parallel litigation proceedings in all courts and agencies - District Courts and the ITC. In patent litigation, I have represented clients primarily in the technology fields of semiconductors (device, circuit design, and fab), LEDs, consumer electronics, software, consumer products, mobile communication devices, and related fields.In patent matters counseling, I have extensive experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications. I leverage that with my patent litigation and PTAB experiences in order to advise clients on issues related to patents. This includes evaluating patents for FTO clearance and related opinion work, and strategic claim drafting for optimal coverage for enforcement purposes.I have a background in electrical engineering that provide me a clear understanding of the highly-technical concepts and products.
