I am an experienced 2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer with over ten years experience in the IT industry. At present I am working in a small team supporting varied professional practices plus companies in the financial sector in London and the South East.I have long-standing experience in installing, administering and supporting Windows server (from NT to 2008), MS Exchange (2000/2003/2007/2010) and supporting desktops as far back as Win95 and Office 97. I have experience in Linux administration, implementation and design (but let me check my old textbooks first!). I have installed and supported SuSE Mailserver 3 & 3.1, SuSE Open Exchange and Kerio Mailserver as well as my old favourite Postfix.I have experience in supporting VOIP systems (asterisk based OpenSource implementations, plus Snom One and 3CX) .General network support including routing, switching, firewalls (Juniper/Netscreen, Watchguard), WLAN plus many years supporting clients using ADSL/SDSL, FTTC and EFM comes as part of the package too. My professional qualifications and experience include MCSA (2000) and CCA (Metaframe XP) plus a smattering of the usual (and unusual) random courses. At the last job I occasionally flew the company plane and never broke the undercarriage on it.But I still remember the days when Win95b was a step forward and why dsrepair was a life-saver on Novell servers. And I really, really, don't like NetBeui.
