David Way has passionately led an award-winning career in non-fiction television spanning from science consultant, to writer, host, director-producer, series producer, broadcast executive, and executive producer. He excels in creative project development and management.Since joining GPM in 2015 he has led the creation of a 14 unscripted series, two podcasts, and GPM's first drama series and MOW.As an independent producer David has created, directed and written over 200 hours of unscripted series, ten documentaries, and special programming events for Discovery Channel (Canada, USA), HGTV, W, Slice, Food Network, OLN, PBS, and NHK. Previously as a network executive he has oversaw more than 500 hours of original production for OLN, Slice, Discovery Health, History, and TVO.David trained as a molecular geneticist at McMaster University and The Banting and Best Department of Medical Research (UOT). His career in unscripted media spans from science consultant, to writer, director, host, series producer, and executive producer.
