David Nagarathinam was conferred the degree of Doctor of Philosophy by Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), Chennai in September, 2019 for his thesis work entitiled, "Vortex Instability and Bistability in Rotating Flows". Before joining IITM, he completed his Batchelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Hindustan College of Engineering, Chennai in 2010 and earned his Master of Engineering degree from the Department of Space Engineering and Rocketry, Birla Institute of Technology Mesra, Ranchi in 2012. His research interests include fluid mechanics, vortex instability and large-scale rotating flows.
