I am Development Victoria’s procurement law subject matter expert responsible for ensuring compliance with all Government procurement obligations and fair, accountable procurement outcomes. This includes authoring agency strategies, operationalising processes and procedures, providing strategic and commercially sound compliance advice, legal review of tender documents and contracts and championing efficiency in the tender process.I have implemented systems and training to ensure procurements comply with the Local Jobs First requirements, developed the agency’s Social Procurement Strategy which was approved by the Executive Team and represent Development Victoria on inter agency working groups and committees.As part of the legal team I am responsible for ensuring standard form contracts satisfy government requirements whilst remaining commercially acceptable to the market. I also review proposed contract departures to ensure risk and Government interests are addressed.
