In addition SYTE empowers project developers, investors, agents, architects and city planners to spot interesting properties with development potential. This way we contribute to a more sustainable construction industry by reducing newly sealed areas in favour of expanding existing developments.

As the former CTO of Familonet I was responsible for the successful integration of Familonet's product/tech team into moovel's company structure. As the technical lead I built up a new team that integrates mobility services such as Sharenow, Freenow, Nextbike, Tier and Voi into moovel's mobility as a service (MaaS) platform. moovel was a Daimler corporate startup, later part of the Daimler/BMW joint venture - the Now Group - and finally acquired by the DB subsidiary Mobimeo.

FAMILO - The award-winning Family & Friends Location Messenger with more than 3 Million users world wide (https://www.familo.net). In 2012 I co-founded the startup FAMILO together with Hauke Windmüller and Michael Asshauer.As the CTO I led a team of 10+ highly qualified engineers, applying agile methodologies to our development process. I was responsible for FAMILO's sophisticated in-house developed technologies for location determination, first and foremost the most accurate and reliable energy-saving geofencing technology that allows users to essentially check in at places like home, school or office without ever opening the app. I was the lead architect of FAMILO's infrastructure that empowers real-time communication for more than 3 Million users. I led multiple data science projects in particular one for collecting and modelling sensor data and a growth discovery engine. I have extensive experience with interviewing, hiring, public and internal speaking, authoring and other publications.In 2014 Familonet won the MobileTech Award and the Webfuture Award, honoring Germany’s most innovative mobile tech companies. In 2015 Familonet became part of the Business Incubator Centre of the European Space Agency (ESA).2017 Familonet GmbH was acquired by the Daimler AG subsidiary moovel Group GmbH to integrate Familonet's advanced location technology and expertise into Daimler's mobility services.

After being in the service industries for almost seven years (one year full-time) I decided to evolve by turning my focus on product development. While still doing client projects with a refined and perfectly lean business model I used as much time as I could to immerse myself into the world of startups. I spent time in San Francisco, Berlin, London, Hamburg and Barcelona to meet Startups, work on business ideas and small projects, including a one-month foundertrip with 6 German entrepreneurs to Barcelona.

In 2004 I co-founded continent7 with Philipp Bartels as an agency for web design, web development and internet marketing. Working on a large variety of web projects I developed my skills in backend development (mainly PHP and a little Java, Python) as well as in frontend development (HTML, CSS, JS). Besides that I learned a lot about starting a company including client acquisition, customer connectivity, business administration and much more. Starting with small projects we succeeded in accomplishing projects with up to 11 team members involved that I led.To learn about different markets, continent7 completed a variety of different projects including e-commerce (RootsOfCompassion.org), mobile apps (Tauchen-Fischbestimmung), magazine websites (Atv-Quad-Magazin.com), communities (Polio-Forum.eu), a video portal (Uni-Bonn.tv), custom business software solutions (one based on openERP) and several corporate websites. Our best-known clients so far are the University of Bonn, University of Freiburg, European Pallet Association and Landessportbund NRW.
