Lead Proposal Writer/Editor – (2000 - 2002) Lead writer and editor for Compaq Computer Corporation Telco Bid and Proposal Group, a global organization that provided a single bid desk structure to support the development of Compaq Telco bids worldwide. The Bid and Proposal Group successfully processed bids for an annual value exceeding $100M. As Lead Proposal Writer & Editor I was responsible for the following tasks:Roles and Responsibilities:- Lead writer and editor for all responses to worldwide RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs processed by the Telco Bid Group- Prepared internal Bid & Proposal Group announcements and promotional releases distributed throughout Compaq’s Telco division and related customer base- Managed the following:• Production and printing of all packaging literature for HP Software product lines• Outside print vendors for distribution of print, soft-copy, and on-line publications• Documentation inventories and database of Bid & Proposal Group repository• Document compliancy with corporate branding standards- Created graphical illustrations used in all marketing collateral - Developed and managed multi-layered internal portal page website through which all the Bid Desk organization’s products and services could be leveraged. This website was instrumental in standardizing a bid process used by all geographies worldwide and averaging 300+ visits daily.- Responsible for ongoing operation of a metrics portal used to collect data applied in monthly reports describing general internal bid site activity.
