My responsibilities covered a number of roles: As a Senior Consultant actively helping companies grow their teams with the best talent available, I developed a network with some of the most unique Digital and Creative talent available. As a Resourcer Manager I found and trained Junior recruiters in search and selection techniques, developing their technical skills and industry and knowledge. I was also the Team leader for the consultants on the Permanent recruitment desk.

This was an Internal Recruiter position within a fast growth, start-up Digital Media and Publishing company that offered Digital Marketing and Advertising solutions for a variety of clients as well as producing a range of national B2B publications. My role involved developing the employer brand and establishing talent acquisition and retention techniques to meet with the companies need to grow rapidly. I worked across a variety of departments within the company including the Design and Development studio, Editorial Team, Client Services, Sales and Administration teams. I was responsible for developing candidate attraction, retention and talent pool strategies. Liaising with line managers to create job briefs and manage the search and selection process: screening & shortlisting; conducting first round interviews; managing candidate's expectations right through to offer stage and their induction on their first day. In addition to recruiting, I liaised with an external HR agency to provide internal HR support handling general queries & grievances through to disciplinary issues.

I was approached to join a small, dynamic, digitally focused recruitment company and manage a team of recruitment consultants.As well as being hands on recruiting for a wide variety of Digital and Software vacancies, I was also responsible for training and developing a mixed ability team comprised of juniors, mid-weights and seniors, setting KPI's and ensuring they were met. I developed policies and procedures for recruitment best practice, strategies for identifying talent pools of unique and rare candidates, team incentives and motivational exercises and also handled personnel related matters from general grievances through to disciplinary issues. I also had regular meetings with directors to report on progress and discuss strategies and opportunities.

I was approached to join the newly formed recruitment division of a successful IT Support company. I continued to focus largely on the Digital market recruiting for a variety of roles, from Web Developers and Analyst Programmers through to Project Managers and Account Managers. As a Senior Consultant I worked a full 360 desk. Regularly sourcing new clients and helping to build their teams with the best talent available to the market, often helping them fine tune and write a job spec, providing them with market intelligence on salaries and the markets supply of skills. Always offering a professional service, I provided candidates and clients with regular updates and feedback throughout the process right up until the day they start.

Compuvac had 20+ year history in recruitment when I joined a newly formed digitally focused division of the company called web-recruitment.com. Utilising the technical knowledge I had learnt at University, I started out as a Resourcer focusing on digital roles and quickly progressed to a Junior Consultant then Midweight within my first year. Working with large global corporates to retailers and small boutique businesses, I developed my abilities for finding rare and highly skilled candidates and matching the right personalities to the right teams.
