Key Responsibilities• Overall management and leadership of the TREA RMC ($4.75 Billion assets) • Developing risk management strategies and policies • Procurement and management of excess insurance • Development and implementation of marketing strategy (increased membership from 45 districts to 95 districts) • Development and implementation of loss control processes to protect member Districts • Development and implementation of tools to identify of member services to support rural school District’s shortage of human and financial resourcesThe successful solution to rejuvenate the TREA RMC was to provide a portfolio of risk that was desirable for excess insurance while not exposing the TREA RMC members to erratic swings in excess insurance premiums. In addition, successfully implemented a solution that altered the typical self-insurance model to a model that required each school district in the Cooperative to accept more financial responsibility.
