I have worked for the department of Corrections for 25years. In that capacity I have worked in all capacities available at ahtanum View Correctional Complex as a Correctional Sergeant. I have mentored three officers of the year. One team of the quarter and have been nominated as a supervisor of the year twice, and selected once. I am currently at Coyote Ridge Corrections Center. I am a go getter that loves to be challenged and always seeks new responsibility.Specialties: I am a certified instructor for the state of Washington. I teach first aid (12 yrs). I taught defensive tactics and control tactics (6yrs), I am a state certified Fire Arms Instructor(3yrs) . I have taught tactical verbal skills and I am a trained group facilitator.I also have attended the Military's Special Response Team (SRT) academy with three years on the team as well as the Department of Corrections Emergency Response Team with 4 years as a member with two years as the team leader.Prior to corrections, I was a member of our military with ten years active duty and ten years in the Washington National Guard retiring as a E8 First Sergeant with three deployments under my belt, one on active duty, two in the Guard. I brought all my soldiers home without injury. The ten years active I was a Military Police Sergeant and in the Guard I was a Intel Analyst.
