At LiqTech I manage several projects related to both large scale system deliveries and R&D.As Senior Process Engineer I lead the process engineering team and am responsible for the technical sales support that we supply. In this I report directly to the VP of Engineering.Designing full scale systems is a significant responsibility of the process engineering team. Often pilot-tests are designed and carried out with the privilege of up-scaling to industrial systems.I am engaged in simulation (e.g. CFD) and optimization of our water treatment units based on crossflow ultrafiltration using ceramic membranes.Collaborations, especially university collaborations, are an important part of my work. With regards to teaching this relates to guest-lectures, censoring in examinations, or company excursions.With regards to projects I supervise students on all levels and I aim to continuously take on interns.

I am part of a great process-engineering team who provide technological support for all branches of LiqTech: sales, service, engineering, projects.Designing full scale systems is a significant part of my work. Often pilot-tests are designed and carried out with the privilege of up-scaling to industrial systems.I am engaged in simulation (e.g. CFD) and optimization of our water treatment units based on crossflow ultrafiltration using ceramic SiC membranes.Collaborations, especially university collaborations, are an important part of my work. With regards to teaching this relates to guest-lectures, censoring in examinations, or company excursions.With regards to projects I supervise students on all levels and I aim to continuously take on interns. Furthermore, on promising projects I also participate in applying for funding together with universities.

During my PhD I developed and optimized an electrochemical flow cell. This flow cell is now being commercialized in a small upstart company, where we provide entire redox flow battery lab test setups.

For this research I have designed, constructed, and optimized specialized equipment, including implementing and writing programs for sensors (pressure, temperature, ammeter, voltmeter, fine-scale) using mainly LabVIEW.Digital 3D drawing (Inventor) for workshop production has been an important competence in which I have improved greatly during my PhD.For project description or research results please see my PhD education description and my published papers.During a PhD study, besides research, the graduate student is required to follow PhD-courses equal to a load of 30 ECTS. Also dissemination activities are required. In my case, these were mainly conducted as teaching, hereunder giving lectures, designing lab. exercises and writing manuals, instructing during lab. exercises, and correcting reports and hand-ins.The PhD education is a fulltime job with three main areas of responsibility:Research activities (~75 % time load)Dissemination (~15 % time load)Courses (~10 % time load)

Each summer vacation during high school and university educations I spend as a seasonal employee at Djurs Sommerland amusement park.The main task as supervisor was making sure that the service provided at the rides was up to standards and that the park was clean and presentable in my department. This meant being responsible for up to 15 people, including handling internal conflicts and arranging breaks and workstation rotations. In addition the job was very ‘all-round’. Every task not clearly within another section was our responsibility. Besides different requests from management these regularly included; planning the smartest route for an ambulance to get quickly into a crowded park, dealing with displeased park guests, and trash management.
