David N. Paris is a Managing Director in the Dispute Advisory Services (DAS) practice at FTI Consulting, Inc., and he is based in the Washington, DC office (headquarters). He is an experienced economist and business consultant, with more than 30 years experience addressing damages and competition issues in complex commercial disputes in U.S. and international courts, and arbitration and administrative proceedings. These disputes have involved patent, trademark and copyright infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, secondary considerations of nonobviousness, breach of contract, fraud and employment. He has provided expert testimony on damages issues, including lost profits, reasonable royalty and benefit-of-the-bargain damages, economic issues relevant to granting an injunction, including irreparable harm. He has testified on damages and economic issues in U.S. District Courts and before the American Arbitration Association.
