Social Enterprise - I work to promote and develop social enterprise in the Ballyfermot and Chapelizod areas. This work includes developing strategies, business planning, training initiatives, revenue generation, funding applications, Community Wealth Building and impact measurement and evaluation. I also work to identify and nurture social enterprise ideas, LCGs and entrepreneurs. I coordinate our networking group, mentoring and training efforts to ensure the needs of local social enterprise are met. I also represent our locality on regional and national fora including the ILDN, DRCD and more. targeted training programs. Enterprise - Under enterprise, I am responsible for the development and provision of a suite of supports for pre and early stage start-ups. The supports I coordinate include start your own business workshops, mentoring, topic specific training, financial and enterprise allowance guidance and more. I work with a caseload of over 100 people providing guidance on market research, finance, governance, marketing, sales, planning and strategy. The scope of my role extends to promoting enterprise digitally and locally to schools, colleges and local and national organisations and developing Ballyfermot and Chapelizod as a supported environment from which to start a business.Beyond my job description, I also support the Communications Working Group. My responsibilities included redeveloping the company website, social media policies and procedures, upskilling staff in branding and graphic design. I also contribute significantly to funding applications including the Climate Action Fund and the Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme.
