Two distinct roles performed:Global Sourcing – Persuading board of directors to look into a new approach to setting up global manufacturing bases, rather than following competitors to China. Proposing and implementing a 5 Year Plan to increase competitive advantage for Arno GmbH. Researching economic (cost effective), cultural (language and understanding) and manufacturing (quality standards) factors in 3 main regions throughout the world. Visiting over 60 manufacturing companies and presented regular updates to board of directors showing the above findings with recommendations. Significantly expanding database of approved global suppliers and improving margins by 18%.Project Manager – Day to day design management and production management of retail interior fit-outs and display roll-outs, including:• Pre-Production responsibilities: client facing briefings, conceptual design generation, estimates (based on initial concepts), detailed quotes (based on final designs), project timelines and production planning.• Production responsibilities: Judicious placement of orders, monitoring production progress, quality control and regular updates of project costs and anticipated profit margins, managing external supplier relationships and client expectations, inter-supplier logistics and final delivery.
