Hired as the VP of technology, David quickly earned his executive position to lead NS8's iWaveTV platform, providing an internet video on demand solution to IPTV companies such as Akimbo Systems. Overseeing the technical staff and providing strategic planning, David worked closely with Jim Forbes, the CEO, to advance the potential of the platform and pursue new markets.

David designed and developed the first Shopping Simulator for the Angus Reid Group that became the basis for what later became the Fusion suite of interactive market research tools at Vision Critical. Leading a team of 3D artists, programmers and market research professionals to design next generation MR tools, David built some of the most ambitious and immersive tools for the industry at that time--and to this day. Fusion has become a significant part of the DNA of Vision Critical interactive market research exercises.

As the Chief Creative Officer at Flourish Media, David was responsible for creating new entertainment platforms such as the New Media Slam--a 48 hour geurilla new media festival, and the CBC50--an Anniversary alternate reality game celebrating the Vancouver CBC studio history. Blending his skills for content creation, platform development and audience engagement, David provided original IP for the company to work with TV and Film producers in the Vancouver and Canadian markets.

David's first entrepreneurial effort, Click Factory serviced the tech industry in Vancouver, providing new media design and development services. From creating content based webcasts to shopping simulators, David established himself as a problem solver, interactive designer and technology builder that worked on the bleeding edge, providing clients innovative software for their media and business needs.

David was hired to be the interactive designer on a followup project to the industry leading 'Silk Road' CROM, a project called Taqsim, Music of the Silk Road--an enhanced music CDROM with a full album and a very robust interactive experience based on the music and instruments of the Silk Road. After completing this distinguished project, David moved on to be the Technical Director for the Glenn Gould CDROM entitled, The New Listener--an impressive look at one of Canada's greatest musical talents and personalities. The project took on the colour, quirkiness and philosophy of Glenn Gould. With technology changing, this project became a high point of CDROM delivered digital experiences and the last by the company to make it onto the market, which had turned its eyes to the web for its inspiration.
