Main duties in the engineering projects involved: • Vibrations: monitoring, control and suppression in turning and milling as well as CAE modal analysis.• Structural analysis: cutting forces monitoring, KISTLER dynamometers, CAE stress and strain studies.• Tooling and optimization: turning, milling and drilling processes of steel, aluminum, titanium and nickel based alloys, experience with WC, CBN, PCD, HSS tools.• CAD design: fixtures and work pieces with SolidWorks and Unigraphics, basic knowledge of CAM 3-axis.• Conversational programming: Heidenhain CNC 5-axis milling center and multitasking Fanuc CNC milling-turning center.• Metrology: development and execution of CMM programs for free surfaces and regular geometries.• Texturing and surface finishing analysis: proficient with profilometers and microscopes.• Mathematical modeling and statistical analysis. Proficient programmer with MATLAB.• Communications: Presenter in international conferences, published articles in scientific journals and machining magazines.

Main duties in the engineering projects involved: - High Speed Machining of Aluminum thin walled aeronautical parts and vibration suppression.- Milling process study, analytical cutting forces prediction and tool wear behavior.- Development of a hole making process for flanged Titanium structures.Teaching assistantMechanics of materials and Mechanical vibrations for undergraduate students.- Experience with universal testing machine, strain gauges & laboratory balancing machine.

- In charge of the development of a Windows application on VB language to calculate dimensions of structural elements and select appropriate materials for Silos and Tank waters. The company’s design methodology implemented on the software was able to select plate’s thickness, bolts grade, support columns and load transmitted to the foundation depending on the stored material.- Assisting with structural calculations for the metallic structure projects.
