I literally had a comprehensive Knowledge Management Framework developed for the Agency a few months before I took on this role. I am currently working with key team members to implement this Framework while leveraging the wealth of tacit and explicit knowledge at the REA.

The REA has provided me with the creative freedom to drive stakeholder-focused content strategies over the years. I fell in love with renewable energy initiatives while I was serving as an intern at NERC back in 2010. I never knew my fascination with the energy industry was gonna come in handy in later years. Managing social media for an Agency central to the SDG7 efforts in Africa comes with huge responsibilities, especially in the area of content development, multi-platform publishing, reputation management and a little bit of field work! It has been interesting, so far as I have managed content and amplification on several interesting projects such as the World Bank-funded Nigeria Electrification Project, the Energizing Economies Initiative, the Energizing Education Programme and the Rural Electrification Fund.

This role led me through the most challenging path as well as the most fulfilling time in my career. Leading on content, narrative, media positioning and reputation management for a Chief Executive and other members of the Agency's C-Suite can be a daunting task but I pulled it off really good and learnt amazing lessons along the way. I have always looked forward to exploring the deep end of the disruptive new media space. It was a fulfilling experience leveraging this role to do just that. I have a wealth of insights and solution-driven knowledge, which I plan to continue to optimize across the corporate ecosystem.

I served as a PDF Embedded Consultant/Research Assistant providing support to the good folks at the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI). This position allowed me to take a deep dive into policy communication, outreach and corporate strategies in the oil and gas sector. As a regulatory agency in the Nigeria Extractive Sector, the folks at NEITI have their hands full executing their mandate and harnessing the various policy instruments needed.I participated in several projects and engagements, which allowed me to carry out my primary function as a social media consultant and content developer for NEITI.

Fresh out of NYSC (a compulsory national internship programme here in Nigeria), I resumed at MMCC barely a few weeks after my passing out parade. Taking up the position of Social Media Specialist helped to hone my skills in the digital media industry. With a lot of self-tutoring, coupled with the various clients MMCC had taken on before I came on board, my years here was super-productive. Plus, I had the opportunity to meet a lot of great men and women in the industry.My responsibilities at MMCC?: I v basically aquired tons of formative knowledge in marketing, campaign management and social media content development here. These initial efforts served as a launchpad that led me into taking on more high-level responsibilities in the marketing field, while interfacing with various clients. I did a lot of industry research, coordinated social media training for our clients, helped with content development and had the opportunity to design a couple of media strategies.
