I work as part of a database services team that provides timely BI reporting across the organization via ad-hoc queries, scheduled ETL processes, SSAS cubes, nightly FTP feeds or any other method that meets the business requirements.I provide detailed & often complex results to users in ways they can easily work with, interpret and gain insight from the data to make key decision. This reporting is across all products and includes key metrics related to marketing & sales, finance, product & feature usage, conversion & retention rates, trend alerts, forecasting, web analytics, development & IT stats , real-time revenue tracking, SalesForce & SilverPop integration & many more.My typical work week includes meeting with users to discuss requirements and needs, writing ad-hoc queries to provide results or investigate issues, developing optimized stored procedures that run nightly or during log-shipping and designing/creating tables, views, indexes, etc to meet requirements. I also enjoy assisting others via code reviews or mentoring as part of my role and being part of a team whose members put aside egos to find elegant solutions to complex issues.
