Afghanistan

First Sergeant of a 100+ Soldier Engineer Company which trained and deployed to Operation Enduring Freedom. Supervised all aspects of operations and Logistics for 100+ US Soldiers partnered with 400+ Afghan Border Patrol Soldiers. Operations included planning, coordinating, procuring, contracting, and managing all operational and logistical support for the base. Also planned, coordinated and supervised the construction upgrades of the base on a short timeline. Upgrades included entrance gates, guard towers, generator installation to six buildings, mobile kitchen, barriers, and a helicopter landing zone. Awarded the Bronze Star Medal for service in OEF.

Senior instructor and supervisor for the General Studies phase of the Sapper Leaders Course. The prestigious course provides premiere leadership training to all levels of Army leaders in a single, team-oriented course. Project manager for the Army-wide Best Sapper Competition. Planned, coordinated, resourced, and directly supervised the execution of a three day competition between 30-40 of the Army's best Sapper Leader teams. Duties as the Senior Instructor included:Planning, coordinating and procuring training sites, equipment and materials. Management and supervision of 10-15 Instructors and over 500 annual trainees. Curriculum development and implementation.Managing administrative and HR needs of instructors and trainees.Risk assessment and risk reduction implementation for high-risk training events.

Baghdad, Iraq

Team Lead for 9-10 explosive experts. Conducted training and deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Conducted daily bomb-finding missions to prevent detonation on friendly forces in a combat zone. Highly successful in strategic thinking and problem solving resulting in nearly daily bomb finds preventing loss of injury or death to fellow Army Units. Awarded the Bronze Star Medal for service in Iraq.

Jumpmaster instructor at Fort Braggs prestigious Jumpmaster School. Trained over 1000 junior and senior level leaders in advanced parachuting techniques for supervisors and leaders of paratroopers. techniques include aircraft and parachute inspections, Army/Aircraft communications and coordination, parachutist training techniques, and certification in performance of Jumpmaster Duties during military Airborne Operations.Additionally trained and certified junior and senior level leaders in the loading, certifying, and transportation of general and hazardous materials on Army Aircraft.

Trained and operated on Bulldozers, backhoes, dump trucks, trailers, bucket loaders and graders. Performed as a Sapper, an entry level Soldier specially trained in explosives, mine detection and emplacement, barrier removal and emplacement, and infantry tactics.
