Led the following consulting mandates with one of the largest asset managers in Canada:- Delivery of a comprehensive global strategic plan across all divisions.- Reorganization of support functions (finance, technology and data, risk and compliance) resulting in the successful setup of corporate head office teams.- Streamlining reporting, through the alignment of data and process governance, to eliminate significant production delays (improved timing by 80%).- Develop a target operating model for the Alternative Investments business (Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private Debt, Agriculture) to properly integrate previous acquisitions and scale the platform for growth.Design and rollout of a global survey, covering 15.6T or 20% of global assets under management, on the use of Advanced Analytics and Alternative data within asset management firms.

With the CFO/COO, led the rollout and implementation of the firm’s data strategy which included:- Reorganizing the master data management team to be client-focused resulting in the elimination of daily operational delays and the reduction in turnover from 200% to 20%.- Implementing an innovative and effective framework for data and process governance, resolving over 20 operational issues in the first year and boosting committee participation to over 90%.- Designing and implementing data and process architecture tools (data glossary, data models, business and technology process maps) which were leveraged to support changes for all projects.- Leading the change management for a large-scale back office transformation project that was successfully implemented by identifying, assessing, and mitigating the impact of 400 project-related changes- Initiating and delivering process improvements, at minimal cost, that improved the timing and quality of all public markets reporting; Moving from T+2 end of day to T+1 start of day.- Designing, developing, and implementing a security pricing engine on time and on budget.- Taking ownership of all data vendor management activities which delivered both cost savings of 10% and improved controls to eliminate redundant purchases and manage contract renewals.With the CFO, set overall strategic direction and prepared strategic plans for all support functions. With the CRO, developed the firm’s Enterprise Risk Management framework which included risk policies, Risk and Control Self-Assessment, and Risk Appetite statement to bring a comprehensive and cohesive view of risks across the organization.

Member of both the Performance Improvement and Risk and Regulatory groups.Led the Montreal Financial Risk Management (FRM) consulting practice, performing the valuation of all financial instruments, including derivatives.Management consulting mandates included: - Review and validation of the operational strategy for a large Canadian pension plan. - Assessment of risk management practices across all levels of a large Canadian pension plan, including the board of directors.- Review of Risk Management team practices at two of Canada’s largest banks in response to a request from OSFI.- Development of a plan to improve risk reporting processes for a large Canadian pension plan by improving the timing (75%) and quality of VaR reports.

As a member of the management team, responsible for delivery and market development in Canada.Consulting mandates included:- Development of the target operating model to support the migration of fragmented operations into an Enterprise Finance Operations team for one of Canada’s largest banks.- Delivery of the business case to support the creation of a new stock exchange platform in Canada.- Reviewing and assessing a Middle Office change initiative at a large Canadian bank.

Took over and successfully oversaw a seamless implementation of a fully integrated Murex MxG2000 trading platform, a major project already in progress that was fraught with challenges.

- Oversaw finance activities in Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam and Brunei.- Member of the Singapore Management team and the Global Finance Management team.- Delivered cost savings of close to 10% in the first year by process and reporting improvements.

Successfully built the middle office for the bank’s FX and Interest Rate derivative businesses.

Responsible for the profitability reporting for Asian Fixed Income desk.

- Built the reporting framework for the bank’s Treasury, and FX and Interest Rate derivative businesses.- Took over and successfully delivered a Treasury transfer pricing system in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.
