Performed administrative and training support duties for U.S. Marshal squad responsible for area of operations in the Southern District of Ohio. Accompanied Joint Fugitive Task Force on field training exercises in partnership with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Exercises included entry & breaching training, structure clearing, vehicle interdiction, and active shooter response. Assisted the squad’s Canine Operations with daily training and conducted threat assessments of the federal courthouse and other federal buildings located in downtown Columbus. Observed over 6 hours of the federal court process, to include hearings, arraignments, pre-trial motions, post-trial motions, and sentencings.

Internship designed to introduce students to real-world fundamental skills leading to a possible career path in investigations and intelligence. Trained to provide assistance in the investigative process regarding insurance fraud, workers' compensation fraud, criminal defense, surveillance operations, background investigations, witness locates, service of process, records retrieval and the laws governing private investigations. Communicated with Bar and Kitchen teams to ensure all large batches of liquors, syrups, and garnishes were prepared properly each week. Led, mentored, and trained 12 Marines for two, 12-month training cycles and two, six-month deployments. Responsible for the tactical employment, accountability, discipline, appearance, control, morale, and welfare of squad. Maintained accountability of over $107,000 worth of weapons, gear and equipment.

Responsible for tactical employment and accountability of three-Marine fire team during six-month training cycle and six-month deployment attached to 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. Carried out orders issued by the squad leader. Maintained monthly counseling for three junior Marines and mentored them in regard to personal and professional development.

Provided physical security for United States Navy nuclear submarines and nuclear strategic assets within Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic area of responsibility in order to prevent unauthorized access or loss of control. Was part of quick-reaction force employed to combat threats during security alerts and re-secure nuclear strategic assets. Maintained high level of accountability to remain a part of Department of Defense's Personnel Reliability Program, a security, medical, and psychological program designed to permit only the most trustworthy individuals to have access to nuclear weapons.
