The Director of Custodial Services plans, organizes and directs the activities of the managers and supervisors of all campus buildings with a focus on Overnight and AM Operations. The Director administers policies, procedures, labor agreements and training related to the activities of custodial personnel. Maintains an environment that is sanitary, attractive and in orderly condition.

Operations Manager for Residential Life and Dining-Housing- Provide well-maintained and operated residence halls in support of the student, faculty, and guest residents.- Manage the operational functions, human resources, house finances, and facility maintenance on behalf of the directorof housing operations.- Supervise, train, and monitor all levels of facility and operational personnel; and ensure that all residents are properly and comfortably housed and provide appropriate support for residential programming activities while maintaining the highest level of customerservice.- Work collaboratively with Residential Life Programs’ staff for their assignedcommunity and all members of the Division of Student Life, Department of Facilities, MIT Police, and others administrative offices as part of an overall institutional effort to provide integrated and seamless service to residents.

• Responsible for providing direction and support to a team of 25 custodians in assigned buildings.• Support custodial supervisors with identifying and implementing continual improvement practices.• Ensure quality and service standards are met on a consistent basis.• Train, motivate, and discipline employees as appropriate and conduct regular quality assurance inspections. • Assist in budget development, maintenance, and reporting on labor and custodial supply issues. • Evaluate, coordinate, and respond to emergencies such as flood, fire, chemical spills, etc. • Maintain and analyze data related to custodial operations and customer service. • Implement and assess the Institute recycling program

• Served as a Squad Leader responsible for the accountability, training, supervision, health and welfare of five soldiers. • Responsible for the maintenance and accountability of two Nuclear Biological Chemical Reconnaissance System Vehicles, four Humvees, two light medium tactical vehicles, and ancillary equipment valued at over $7 million. • Prepared the squad for all peacetime and combat missions through personal and professional development of soldiers.
