I represent clients in complex commercial and other civil litigation matters. I have litigated cases in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels involving attorney malpractice claims, commercial lease issues, environmental disputes, partnership disputes and dissolutions, franchise disputes, claims for contribution and indemnification, claims for breach of non-competition agreements, trade secret claims and a wide variety of contractual and tort claims and disputes. I also represent attorneys in grievance and disciplinary matters before the Connecticut Statewide Grievance Committee. I also serve as the firm's General Counsel and Loss Prevention Partner. I am a former chair of the firm's litigation department.I am a past president of the Board of Directors of Statewide Legal Services of Connecticut and have served as an attorney trial referee in the Connecticut Superior Court, Judicial District of Fairfield at Bridgeport. I served for many years on the Board of Trustees of the Long Ridge School in Stamford.Upon graduation from law school, I worked for the Legal Aid Society, Criminal Appeals Bureau, in New York City (1983-1986), where I briefed and argued approximately 50 appeals before the New York Court of Appeals and the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division and Appellate Term. I subsequently served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judith S. Kaye, former Chief Judge of the New York Court of Appeals. For the following twenty years, until February of 2009, I worked at Zeldes Needle & Cooper, where I served as chair of the firm's Litigation Department and served on the firm's management committee.In February of 2009, I joined Murtha Cullina LLP as a resident partner in the firm's Stamford office.
