I worked as an engineering consultant with VERSA Engineering (Connexsys Engineering) and was contracted on-site at Chevron Richmond Refinery to help support the rollout and transition of the FEAS program to the refinery.-Living Program development - created a working program to tackle on daily tasks in making sure we are upholding mechanical integrity within the refinery Fixed Equipment (Piping, Tanks, Vessels, etc.) by keeping Asset Strategies (P&IDs, Inspection ISOs, Systemization/Circuitization, DM/Susc., IOWs, ITPMs) up to date and within the refinery's standards/guidance. -Provided training to Inspectors/Material Engineers/Design Engineering/Process Engineering/Drafting/Data Controllers with regards to their role and responsibilities within the FEAS Living Program. This included coordination with each group and their role as the Subject Matter Experts (SME) in detailing and providing insight/critical judgment on the Asset Strategy for each plant they were assigned to. They are an integral part of maintaining the FEAS. -Performed Asset Strategy Reviews to asses/evaluate the current Damage Mechanisms and Inspection Strategies for each design change to the refinery's Fixed Equipment and to put in place Inspection, Testing, and Preventive Maintenance to prevent Loss of Containment within the refinery. These reviews included the SMEs and other impacted roles in updating Asset Strategy information.

Designed fire sprinkler systems for industrial and commercial buildings such as various manufacturing plants, a city prison, senior homes, tenant spaces for shopping malls, and apartment buildings. Responsibilities included: - Surveying buildings and using good judgement to tackle common pipe design problems. - Designing sprinkler systems using specialized CAD software packages that were based on the AutoCAD or SprinkCAD platform. - Knowledge in NFPA standards and applying the necessary codes to create a robust and safe fire protection systems. - Coordinating the design of sprinkler piping with the architect and other engineers involved in the building construction plans. I joined West Valley Engineering Staffing Group to work as a contractor for Tesla to gain hands-on experience in the automotive industry.I was assigned to the general assembly team for the Tesla Model S and X. Tasks involved a variety of operations using standardized work process that required a high level of skill with hand tools over an extended period of time. Reviewed detailed manufacturing process and instructions for installing airbags, seat belt clips, door latches and actuators, wiring harnesses, plugs, hydraulic pistons, and many more materials to the main body frame of the car. Responsibilities also required quality checks which include self inspection of the job done and the parts installed. Fully understood the functional operation and troubleshooting or rework for the assembled parts.At Tesla:- We performed multiple tasks and jobs in our assigned section of the assembly line.- Produced quality work with the goal of achieving zero defects and have attained this goal on multiple days.- Trained more than 3 associates to be perform well on different stations in our Trim 0.5 section of the line.- Developed a keen eye to spot defects and monitor quality within the assembly line to uphold integrity of the vehicle while achieving costs savings from having additional rework.

Switching gears from being a full-time student to setting foot in the working industry and developing my career. I took this time to evaluate my options and discover which industries I want to dive into and start my career. Throughout college, I had a focus in Mechanical Design so I wanted to apply what I have learned in the Automotive industry and join the Self-driving innovation development that was popular during this time.I applied to multiple companies and had very little success during this time, but the whole process enabled me to work on my resume and develop interviewing and communication skills and tricks some more. Also, worked on building up my confidence and networking capabilities that I haven't developed as much during school.

Took a short break from school to travel to Asia and attend my brother's wedding and spend some time with family and friends outside of school.
