Part of the NIC Services Group, NIC Local is the UK's leading Commercial cleaning and Facilities Management franchise.My primary objective is to lead franchisee recruitment activities across the UK encompassing marketing, prospecting and onboarding new NIC Local franchisees whils working with the team to ensure that industry leading support is provided.After that, we shall see where NIC takes us next!

As part of my ongoing role with The TaxAssist Group, I am focussed on supporting the US team in establishing the TaxAssist Accountants Franchise across North America. I am actively recruiting Area Representatives and Franchisees in targeted US states along with supporting our Canadian Master Franchisees, overall responsibility for UK Franchisee recruitment and expanding TaxAssist into new international markets.

I joined TaxAssist initially to focus on UK Franchise Recruitment before being promoted in 2014 to a global recruitment role. Whilst responsible for UK development I recruited over 90 franchisees into the network developing hands on experience in all aspects of recruitment including:• Lead generation• Negotiating• Legal compliance• Business planning• Succession planningAs my knowledge and experience in franchising grew I moved into International Development which involved researching possible markets for TaxAssist and emmercing myself in all aspects of international franchising which included:• Detailed understanding of the legal requirements to franchise• Understanding the franchise industry and franchise associations• Review of demographics and feasibility of launching in our target markets• Understanding the accounting industries in our target markets• Competition analysis• Identify routes to marketHaving gone through the research phase we have now recruited Master Franchises in Canada and Australia to complement an established Master Franchise operating in Ireland.As well as overseeing UK development and develop our international expansion strategy, I work closely supporting our existing master franchisees to recruit franchisees within their development area.We're also active members of the British Franchise Association, Franchise Council of Australia and the Canadian Franchise Association are regularly speak at franchise events in the UK and overseas.

FDS has been established since 1981 providing a comprehensive range of services to the established and prospective franchisor and to franchisee investors. FDS has assisted more than 1,000 companies with various aspects of their franchise development objectives, and more than 10,000 individuals to achieve their investment ambitions by owning and operating a franchiseI joined FDS with a background in sales and management but new to the franchise industry. My main role with FDS was to work with new and established franchisors on their recruitment strategy through advertising in FDS in house publications and websites and providing an outsourced franchise recruitment solution.I also worked with UK and International franchisors looking to recruit franchisees outside of their domestic markets through selling advertising space for international titles and websites.The other key role was promoting the FDS franchise opportunity in the UK and recruiting the Franchisee for South East England.In my time with FDS I built up a portfolio of clients who utilised our services as part of their overall marketing plan.I firmly believe that starting my career in Franchising with a full service consultancy firm was a great apprenticeship in franchising giving me experience in:• Start-up franchisors• Established franchisors working on the next development phase• Advertising, PR and copy writing• The stages of turning a business into a franchise• Understanding why some businesses aren't suitable for franchising• A far greater appreciation of the overall franchise industry
