Recruiting Insurance and Financial professionals to work for an established 30-year-old firm with 21 lines of business and 80,000 clients. Recruit through various means utilizing standard ATS as well as typical job boards such as CareerBuilder, ZipRecruiter, Indeed, etc. As a recruiter, it is important to be flexible and think outside the box. Recruiting is also part art in determining who will fit or what positions an applicant may have had that will work well in your organization. I lead a team of recruiters who focus on various departments but also recruit collaboratively to build not only individual departments but the organization as a whole. I also am responsible for employee engagement and retention. Developing programs and building relationships with not only managers but the rank and file. Everyone is important to the organization and they need to feel valued. I also eliminate obstacles to productivity.

Multi-prong approach to satisfy company requirements. Placed in a variety of positions to assess and eliminate company shortfalls. Developed a training regimen for various classes of clients to developing relationships with multiple employers to help people having difficulty finding employment. Problem solver and idea generator to facilitate processes and their effect on the overall operation while improving deliverables. Amongst the four programs I developed; I was the area lead for Hurricane Harvey affected people. I was able to take a program that was expected to last 18 months and finish it in under four, meeting all criteria.

Responsible for Business Engagement in San Antonio and six of the twelve counties managed by Workforce Solutions Alamo under the auspices of the Texas Workforce Commission. I worked with companies of all sizes, chambers of commerce, economic development corporations, judges, mayors, educational institutions, etc. Our goal was multi-faceted; to build the workforce for all areas and match individuals for employment and/or training. I provided labor market information and forecasting for future trends to businesses and EDC’s. Also provided and presented employment data for businesses considering Bexar County or San Antonio for relocation. Sat in or presented on many meetings as it pertained to workforce development, training etc. Also found grant opportunities for businesses, small and large through the State’s Skills Development Program. I was also an integral part of the yearly Red, White and You, State sponsored Veteran’s Job Fair. Everything from finding vendors, venues, employers etc. Ran floor during the event. Excellent at building consensus towards successful completion of agency directives.

I matched employers with job seekers. My position, by definition acted as a representative for the employer, to help find job seekers who satisfied every unique aspect that was desired. As a BSR, we offered reimbursement programs to the employer for hiring program partcipants we recommended who met the employer's needs. I also helped employers recruit through workintexas.com and assisted them with job events at our various centers. I further helped job seekers with resume and interviewing skills as well as general orientation for their specific situation.

Sold life insurance and registered products to individuals, families and business. Networked and cold called homes and businesses. Continuous training and research. Built long term relationships for the mutual benefit of all involved.

Responsible for a team of 12. All of whom met with families to help with their cemetery arrangements and follow up sales opportunities. Took care of all family complaints that required sensitive, timely problem solving skills coupled with the ability to work with other departments or less than cooperative vendors. Trained, counseled and scheduled all members. Maintained or exceeded company quota and mandates every month except one. Visited churches and synagogues as a liaison.

Started as receptionist, moved to sales counselor, then with added responsibility of telemarketing manager and within one year, Director of Sales and Marketing.Responsible for all hiring, firing, counseling, training, sales programs, marketing, complaints and community outreach. Over 35 employees between sales and telemarketing. Managed out of two locations over 35 miles apart. Managed in a depressed market, while still achieving sales goals, customer satisfaction, and providing great opportunities for employees.
