In 2020, I was employed as a NET teacher for the Christian Alliance SC Chan Memorial college in Hong Kong. This is a government teacher role and encompasses all aspects of secondary teaching. The school is extremely HKDSE focused with over 90% of students gaining entrance into various universities. At Beijing National Day School l was their drama teacher. I taught theatre studies to senior AP students and drama to year 10 IB-AL. I was responsible for devising the curriculum and assessments for all groups. Additionally, I directed various student showcases and produced and directed the school musicals - which are bigger than Ben Hur!I have experience in curriculum development, planning and project management within a variety of institutions. Implicit in my past experience are my achievements in the private sector; that of developing and managing new language based educational projects that meet the educational needs of the marketplace. I am also a skilled and experienced educator; one that takes an active interest in language acquisition and teaching methodologies. In my previous position as Senior Teacher for ESF, I demonstrated my abilities in leadership by implementing the holiday camps through offering a collaborative style, based on a shared decision-making process and clear and achievable goals for all stakeholders. I extended the number of camps, developed our specialist curriculum and increased enrollments.Additionally, as a Freelance Education Writer, I have broad experience in writing ESL/EFL Drama/English texts books for primary secondary students. Titles include, Drama and Comedy, Acting in the Real World, Stepping into Drama, Stepping into Short Stories and Stepping into Popular Culture. My plays and scripts that have been performed in Hong Kong include Mother Nature's Lazy Assistant, Drama Chemistry, Mad Cap Fairy Tale and Ruby Robot.
