I am an experienced professional with expertise in the chilled food sector, working closely with proprietary and supplier manufacturing to deliver on shared business goals. I have a keen eye for detail, and can spot opportunities for improvement, productivity levers and emerging trends. I am practical and pragmatic, able to work in a genuinely collaborative manner and I build trust through integrity and reliability.I relish the chance to solve problems, create new business opportunities and galvanise groups of people to work towards a common goal. I enjoy being part of a like-minded team, but am also prepared to take the lead, including tough decisions and handling difficult issues. Creating and adapting systems so that they operate in an optimal, reliable way gives me great satisfaction, and in my senior career I have managed the operational aspects of major change, including new and upgraded facility requirements, working arrangements and customer demands.I have worked twice for a family -owned SME, gaining experience in operational, strategic and technical issues around food processing and supply chains. My life experience also includes a number of years living and working overseas, teaching and coaching in both South Africa and Australia. This has strengthened my ability to form strong relationships from scratch, to be adaptable and flexible as well as resilient and mindful of other cultures and norms.Outside work I love sport, and try to combine having an active life and spending lots of time outdoors with having a young family.
