David Ross is the co-founder and owner of Carphone Warehouse Plc and Talk Talk Plc. He has played a crucial role in developing the companies to their present positions as Europe’s leading mobile communication retailer and one of the UK’s leading broadband providers. A Chartered Accountant by profession, David Ross co-founded The Carphone Warehouse Group plc in 1991 but has also been led several other reputable public and private companies.Continuing his family's long-standing commitment to the wider community, David is a passionate philanthropist, dedicated to developing opportunities for young people. With this in mind, he established the David Ross Foundation in 2006. David is directly responsible for the sponsorship of fourteen academies in Northampton and Lincolnshire and the development of a wider national philanthropic programme focussed on education.In addition to his educational interests, David is a Trustee of the National Portrait Gallery and on the Board of the British Olympic Association.
