I have had a varied career starting at Plessey as an Apprentice, moving into IT as a developer then moving up through the development path to Programme and Project Management where I moved across into Operations, Support and then IT Management. My passion is delivering cost effective business solutions to solve business issues. I am a loyal, passionate, proactive, customer focused, innovative and self motivated person with an entrepreneurial outside the box approach to any task I am allocated. I have a relaxed, no panic, can do approach to all business or IT issues and am an experienced Leader, Manager and Professional who highly values integrity and keeping to my commitments. I have managed my own businesses and have operated at CxO level for a number of years as well as managing various senior stakeholders. I can be a leader, facilitator, consultant or hands on depending on the situation and needs. I have 35 years experience in IT and 20+ years of specific skills in IT Management and Portfolio/Programme Management across many business sectors. I have 15 years experience of Disaster Recovery as well as IT, Business and Risk Continuity Management. I have spent over 15 years delivering timely cost effective business solutions to third parties and I have Project and Programme Managed EIS, MIS, Portfolio, BI, Business Continuity and other IT and Management related streams as part of Business Transformation and Change Programmes as well as delivering other technical initiatives and solutions. I'm a problem solver that provides solutions to problems across the board.I am always on the lookout for opportunities where I can utilise my skills as well as learn new skills, gain new experiences and improve myself. I prefer roles that have a specific KPI and targets that need to be met as I am target driven.
