I represent and advise biotechnology, pharma, medical device, technology, software, entertainment and service companies on various legal and commercial related matters, ranging from small, day-to-day issues and contracts up to major strategic relationships and contracts, as well as all aspects of clinical trials. I also draft and negotiate domestic and cross-border license, collaboration, research, development, reseller, distribution, and services agreements and other strategic relationships. In addition, I serve as outside general counsel to clients without internal legal counsel.

The Friends of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery champions the annual miracle of salmon in our fragile environment. FISH is a volunteer-driven non-profit serving as the voice for salmon, watershed stewardship, and the historic Issaquah Salmon Hatchery. To that end FISH has always been and will continue to be dedicated to:• Educating people of all ages at the hatchery, in classrooms, and around the community;• Raising awareness about the delicate co-existence between people and salmon;• Building community partnerships;• Celebrating salmon and watershed stewardship through events such as Salmon Days; and• Welcoming people to, conducting tours of, supporting operations at, and advocating for Issaquah’s salmon hatchery.

Lead all intellectual property aspects of M&A transactions.

Lead counsel for company’s worldwide research, development, licensing and commercialization activities, corporate matters and securities reporting (US and Canada). Research, plan, and conduct study of bird predation on juvenile salmonids in the Yakima River. Analyze data and draft reports on findings for funding agency and thesis. Present findings at an annual conference of Yakima River Basin natural resource managers.

Develop and manage statewide fish sampling projects to support population genetics research. Collect, compile, and analyze genetic samples and results of protein electrophoresis. Hire, train, and supervise technical staff. Train state, federal, and tribal biologists in sampling procedures to ensure statistically valid results. Assess juvenile fish abundance by snorkeling in rivers and operating floating fish traps.
