I am an experienced and action-oriented Executive with a focus on the vision care market. I’ve been a leader, a manager, an entrepreneur, and an “intrapreneur”. I have worn the corporate hat in various executive positions with global leaders in their respective segments, including contact lenses, ophthalmic lenses/labs and ophthalmic pharmaceuticals. I've been the principal architect in the launch of several new businesses servicing the communication and marketing needs of various stakeholders in Vision Care, including Eye Care Professionals, their respective associations and professional organizations, as well as those of various suppliers that serve the industry. New technology deployment, particularly as it relates to marketing and communication strategies, is of special interest and a thread that runs through my professional life. I relish the challenge of developing creative and insightful strategies and in the execution of growth mandates for start-ups, turn-around situations and challenging marketing opportunities.While I have a classic background of business education (Queen's MBA) and experience (Marketing, Sales and Business Development), I’ve had the enriching opportunity to nurture skills and broaden perspectives through adventurous assignments abroad; in Asia (Korea/Turkey), Europe (Germany/Turkey), and USA.
