Served as both second in command and commanding officer of a school that trains over 18,000 students each year. Coordinated all staff planning efforts for an expansion of the curriculum to account for significantly increased class sizes and a migration from a 22 to a 29 day training cycle. Responsible for the overall coordination of facilities, medical support, legal issues, administrative processing, logistic support and budget.

Commanding Officer for an Infantry Company of 200 Marines. Deployed to Afghanistan in support of the Presidential Elections and worked closely with U.S. Department of State and Secret Service. Served as the Quick Reaction Force for the Combined Joint Task Force in Bagram, Afghanistan. Efforts were recognized by President Karzai and the Commanding General of Marine Corps Central Command. Deployed to Fallujah, Iraq and employed an effective counter-insurgency strategy in the assigned area of responsibility.

A nine-month course providing career-level professional military education, with emphasis on combined arms operations, warfighting skills, tactical decision-making and Marine Air Ground Task Forces in amphibious operations. It prepares Marine Captains to function as commanders and staff officers at appropriate levels within the Operating Forces and Supporting Establishment.The overall focus of this school’s education is the development of the students' communication skills and leadership abilities.
