David has had an accomplished career within the promotional merchandise industry since leaving college. During this ten year period, David demonstrated commercial awareness, effective relationship building and solid people management skills which aided his quick ascension to Managing Director at Dowlis.Whilst in full time education studying I.T, David worked as a retail supervisor thriving on managing a broad team whilst delivering first class customer service; this became the staple foundation for David’s future career.David joined CMC in 2003 as Account Executive with responsibility for generating new business and managing a SME account portfolio. David quickly developed a sound knowledge of the corporate merchandise industry and having consistently exceeded sales KPIs, David was promoted to Account Manager in 2004; giving exposure to leading blue chip companies including Astrazeneca, Adecco & T-Mobile. In 2006 David joined Arcadia Corporate Merchandise in a move which saw him progress to Account Director with a focus on developing new business.Most recently David joined Dowlis in 2007 managing a broad spectrum of accounts with a portfolio worth over £2m per annum. As the top performing Account Manager for 2 consecutive years within the sales team, David was promoted to Senior Account Director in 2009. In this new position, he managed global merchandise programmes and gained invaluable experience in coaching and mentoring junior members of the team. In 2010, Dowlis restructured the management team and David was appointed Sales Director. In his new role, David has been responsible for setting the company budget; managing the sales team; along with recruiting and training team members.In July 2011 David, along with 3 other directors purchased the Promotional Products division of The Altitude Group.David is committed to delivering profitable growth whilst also fostering a team culture which delivers results and exceeds customer expectations.
