Operational Sustainability In Community Initiatives (OSiCi) is about helping communities 'doing the best thing for tomorrow'. OSiCi, was created as an evolutionary step from PLANDALA, which was a private research company with the objective of developing unique commercially viable Urban farming and Biotechnology WasteEnergy systems. The PLANDALA model, is a unique self contained off-grid urban growing concept, either modular, containerised and or indoor, suited for large urban establishment like, restaurants, hotels, hospitals, schools and even prisons. The PLANDALA system, not only provides good high value nutritional food, but benefits from the full re-circulation system of green/brown wasteEnergy. Its moto, "SEED to PLATE in under 25km". The full circle system is unique to OSiCi.OSICI was born on the needs of urban projects, like GrowBerlin, requiring sustainable and affordable community land to develop inner city community gardens for growing nutritional food. However, besides the wishes of a community, it rarely can provide either city freehold, on virgin land at commercially viable options for the grower. Urban land is either high value or contaminated. So OSiCi,'s mission is to deliver a platform of support for community initiatives reducing the burdens of Green entrepreneurs in the start up phases.
