I am a freelance photographer that specializes in Live Entertainment Photographer. Commonly known as a “Concert” or “House Photographer” for several of my areas venues and arenas. Sometime I have to sit back and chuckle to myself regarding the breaks I have been given in this industry. I can hardly turn on the radio and listen to an artist I haven’t photographed in my short career. Winners of Grammy Awards, Tony Awards, Oscar Awards, CMA’s and Dove Awards. I have photographed local and international celebrities and political figures including our President and countless receptions, church and sports events. I don’t understand how I have become so lucky.Some of my current clients include, Farm Bureau Live in Virginia Beach (venue house photographer), Hampton Coliseum (venue house photographer), Seven Venues (including Scope Arena, Chrysler Hall and The Attucks Theater. As the supervisor for the Scenic Services at CBN, I am responsible for all aspects of production of the scenery once the Design team signs off on the project. I will coordinate the construction of the sets and delegate carpenters, painters, props specialist from material purchases through final quality control. Then begins the process of packing the set for transportation to a studio or event locally or internationally. I also become the coordinator for the scenic techs that install, maintain, strike and warehouse all of our projects. Being the liaison between the design team and our clients and the scenic production teams provides me the challenge to manage a team of professionals and build my leadership skills. I am also a working carpenter and maintain my hands on skills all aspects of building, welding, solid surface and laminate, electrical or what ever it takes to get a project completed.
